My Week in Pictures 30/8/15

Hi guys!
I thought I'd share some of the things I've been up to this week, it's been pretty eventful, trying to make the most of the last couple weeks of the Summer holidays whilst also squeezing in a few night shifts!

I started the week meeting a friend for lunch. We went to Dabbawal just off Grey Street in Newcastle which does Indian street food. It was delicious! So reasonably priced too.

On Tuesday, Nadine and I went to Beamish open air museum with the little ones. I haven't been here in years and I've been desperate to go all Summer. It was such a lovely day, it really is like stepping back in time. We took lots of pictures so we'll be doing a blog post all about our visit!

Monday night I had been on nightshift and after walking around Beamish all day Tuesday I was absolutely exhausted, so I took it easy on Wednesday and just took my dog for a stroll in Nothumberland.

On Thursday I was working, still managed to spend some time with my little pal who watched me apply my makeup in the morning and just had to have a turn!

On Friday I decided to take a trip to Saltwell Park in Gateshead - just 15 minutes away from me but I've never been. It's the most beautiful park I've ever been to and huge. So much to do, we were there around two hours and it felt like we hadn't even touched the sides. Definitely going to be going there a lot more regularly, can't wait to see how beautiful it looks when the seasons change.

On Saturday I took Molly to the circus! The Netherlands Circus is in Newcastle at the moment and she's only ever been to a circus once, a few years ago. She absolutely loved it, she was sitting wide mouthed at all of the tricks, completely amazed and in awe.

That's about it! I've been working a lot this week and it's been a bit of a struggle to muster the energy to go out for the day after a night shift but I'm so glad I have because it's been a great week.

Ed Sheeran @ Wembley and London!

Hi guys!
In July I went to see Ed Sheeran at Wembley stadium and spent a few days in London. I do love Ed Sheeran but my main reason for going was just to spend some time in London, I absolutely love London but don't often get the chance to go due to mine and friends' commitments and obviously cost because it's not bloody cheap!

Here's some of the pictures I got while I was there.

We tried to do as many touristy things we could given the short time we were there, so of course we had to go in the London Eye. Luckily the weather was amazing so the views were great.

We also went to some great bars and pubs. Since we went during a little heat wave, my favourite was the ice bar, more for the relief from the heat than the novelty of being in a room made of ice!

And of course the main event! We were so high up I was terrified for my life but the atmosphere was amazing. Also, Elton John came on stage for a couple of songs which was the absolute best part, I love Elton John!

We also went to visit the Tower of London which is like heaven for a history geek like me. Unfortunately we were short on time so we couldn't really explore the place, I'd have liked to do a tour and queue to see the Crown Jewels. I'm definitely going to go back and spend the entire day there!

Obligatory hotel selfie.

Strawberry Picking

Hi guys!
My blogging has left a lot to be desired this Summer. I've been so busy working whilst off university and trying to make the most of the rare day off that I've totally let blogging slide off my radar.
However, whilst Nadine and I have been out and about enjoying the Summer, we've been sure to take lots of pictures so there'll be a lot of catch up posts coming up!

I thought I'd start by sharing some of these cute pictures I got when I took Molly strawberry picking a couple of weeks ago. I've only been a couple of times before and Molly has never been, so I thought it would be a great, cheaper idea for a trip out, and of course you get to come home with plenty of fresh fruit!

We went to Brockbushes farm in Northumberland and although it has a lot of different fruit to pick, we mainly stuck to strawberries.

As you can tell, Molly wasn't quite following my instructions to only pick the big, ripe ones. I did have to give her basket a sort before we paid! She just got so carried away picking them.

The sneaky little monkey also clearly snacked her way through the fields!

We had lots of fun, it was a great way to spend the afternoon without spending too much money and getting to spend time outdoors. The strawberries were delicious too!
