Hope you enjoyed this post, As I mentioned, I've collected a lot of these items over the past year or so. I find it helps to buy a year in advance, so that you already have the Summer wardrobe before Summer actually begins, especially since the British weather is so unpredictable, we could have our nice weather as early as April! You're also prepared for any out of season impromptu getaways. It helps that I mostly stick to classic styles and embroidery detail, which outlast any trend, so it doesn't matter if I buy them in advance.

DIY Caffeine Body Scrub | Anti Cellulite, Exfoliating and Moisturising

Since we're fast approaching Summer and with that comes swimsuits, we've been loving this DIY scrub to help combat cellulite! The exfoliating properties will eliminate dry skin, which will help you to develop and maintain your tan. Helping to achieve that Summer glow!

Caffeine is renowned for tackling cellulite. It tightens and provides anti-oxidants, when applied regularly. It's also been found that caffeine can actually break down fat cells, just google it if you want any more information on the topic.

The best thing about this scrub is that the ingredients are the kind of things that you're likely to have at home anyway. If not they're cheap enough to buy in comparison to a scrub from a shop and given the amount you can make with your ingredients.

To make this scrub you will need;-
1/4 cup demarera sugar
1/4 cup soft brown sugar
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup coffee - you can use any coffee, I'd recommend buying a cheap brand because all you need is the caffine.
For added moisture you could also add 1/4 cup of coco butter.

These are rough measurements, as long as you get the ratio of products right then you can adjust to fit the container that you'll be using. We used a fairly small pot, so adjusted the amounts to fit in. It may be helpful to combine your dry ingredients in the container before mixing, to avoid waste.

First, heat your coconut oil in the microwave for just a few seconds until it's melted. Then leave to cool down but before it hardens, add your dry ingredients. Mix well and transfer into a suitable container before placing in the fridge to set.
Keep the product in the fridge and use within approx. 3 days.

We love this scrub! It makes your skin feel so smooth and hydrated. Make sure to use this in the shower because it can get pretty messy! We found it worked best when you washed first, then step away from the water while you work in the scrub for a good few minutes. Then make sure you rinse well. Pat dry so you don't rub off all of the coconut oil which will continue to moisturise you throughout the day. Nadine added coco butter into her scrub and found that she didn't need to use any additional moisturuser after the shower.
Let us know if you try this or you have any suggestions of other scrubs we could try.

Whitehouse Farm

Since I look after my cousin Molly every weekend and through all school holidays, I like to take her out and explore the North East.
We love Whitehouse Farm, which is in Northumberland and not too far from Newcastle. The farm has so much to do, it's so easy to spend an entire day there. It has a soft play, park, shows and games organised throughout the day, trampolines, bouncy castles and of course lots of animals! There are also scheduled events with the animals, such as creepy crawly talks, petting zoo and bottle feeding the lambs in Spring. All included in the entry! We take a picnic and stay there all day, there's so much to do!
I took Molly's little friend along with us, and my friend's little boy. I was a bit apprehensive about a day out with three kids on my own but luckily they were total angels!

Molly even got picked to join in with the magic show!

There'll be lots more posts of days out with Molly, especially in the Summer holidays! We'll try to cover as much of the North East as we can. Hope you enjoyed this post!

Update: Changes to the blog.

Hi guys, it's been ages since I've posted on here. I've made some changes to the blog, including a name change and post overhaul. I mainly posted about beauty but I enjoyed sharing the occasional lifestyle post which I much preferred making and they're always my favourite to read about.
Me and my friend, Nadine, both had separate blogs, but given that we spend a lot of time together and any lifestyle posts I wrote would include her, we decided to combine our blogs.

So in this post I'd like to introduce Nadine. Nadine had her daughter Scarlett in February last year, making her 15 months old as of now. When Nadine was pregnant she moved from the flat she shared with her fiance into a more appropriate family home. So for the past 1-2 years she's had a complete life upheaval. They took their new home back to brick and are still in the process of getting it where they want it to be. Nadine and I went to Sunderland University together to study Law, and she had Scarlett after graduating. Since then I've spent a lot of time with her, becoming Godmother to her baby and going on lots of days out together. It therefore makes sense for us to combine our blogs, due to our shared interests.

Since becoming a Mummy and moving into her new home, Nadine is keen to share some baby and home related posts. This means there should be a good balance of topics, from baby to beauty, cooking, and home decor. We'll also take you along on any days out.

Here's a picture of us on the night Memories & Mojito's was created. We were several cocktails in at this point and were having a bit of a paper night, hence the uncanny resemblance to Shrek and Fiona.
